Observe urban water conservation in action right in East Harlem!
Under the direction of The Horticultural Society of New York, a student-designed garden was installed in the Spring of 2005. In the Spring of 2008, HSNY added to the Garden of Dreams by creating an outdoor classroom and a rainwater harvesting system. Taken as a whole, the Garden of Dreams, the outdoor classroom and the rainwater harvesting project is a comprehensive, sustainable ecosystem rarely found in any public school, let alone one in the middle of East Harlem.
